ZDR Academy/Rambam Yeshiva recently announced it has hired Rabbi David Abramchik to assume the position of Rosh Yeshiva and Principal for the school.
Rabbi Abramchik dreams of a high school where students will be engaged in learning, develop meaningful relationship with fellow classmates and staff, and become contributing members of the community. Our world desperately needs leaders of high morality and conviction. Our Jewish community needs adults who care and wish to be proper Jewish role models. High school is that place when our young adults should have the opportunity to develop the tools to meet these challenges. We need to emphasize the gifts of our young adults as well as help students at risk. With a balance among academics, sports and communal activities, Zvi Dov Roth Academy has the proper ingredient to develop these tools in our future leaders.
Beginning on our first day of school, our students will have an opportunity to be motivated to use the most important power we all have—“The Power of Prayer”— in an unconventional way. They will be greeted with a short charge delivered by their Principal, Rabbi David Abramchik. Then they will be captivated by a trigger film to help them conclude that we have the power of prayer and can use it on a daily basis. This is just one of the many innovative methods which will be used to help our students reach excellence in academics and value education.
