Sharei Hayosher Pre-School

The education of our children begins at home when the child is born and continues onwards thereafter. The foundation on which rearing your children is based, is encompassed in one word “love.” Without this important ingredient, nothing positive can be achieved. From true love stems the patience, devotion, and attention that parents need to give their offspring to nourish their healthy growth into mature adults. From day one, parents have to show love and give warmth to their babies even when they are sleep deprived. No one ever claimed that it is easy to raise good children. It takes a lot of understanding as well as many prayers to Hashem to be successful in this lifelong task.

Hashem has given parents the natural instincts and wisdom on how to raise children. However, with the world being as it is, it doesn’t hurt to give some general insight on this matter. Hashem has given every newborn baby his own cuteness and charm in order to make it easier for the parents to raise them. Since it takes so much endurance and stamina to deal with the early stages of life (infant to 1st year) your baby’s first smile will give you the energy to continue.

His antics will amuse you, while his crying will test you. However, what really counts is what message you impart to him. Despite what you think, it’s most important that you talk to your infant, as well as sing to him. Slowly but surely he will respond to you in his own way. This two way communication is very stimulating in a baby’s early cognitive development. Equally important is the physical cuddling and “cooing” that mothers and even fathers give to their babies. This creates a warm, loving environment so the baby develops nicely into a healthy infant and child.

We at Sharei Hayosher believe that each child is a world unto themselves and our philosophy is to create an individualized approach within the context of his/her classroom. That’s why our teachers are hand-picked for their unique ability to teach and to educate at the early childhood level which in many ways can be crucial for the rest of your child’s formative years.

Our classes are conducted in a cheerful and warm environment with a special emphasis on making your child feel confident and happy throughout the day. Indeed, every night when your child says Shema, he should be looking forward to going to school in the morning—that’s our mission and Bezrat Hashem (with G-d’s help) we are successful at it.

The appeal of having a pre-school cater to your child exclusively is extremely important to your child’s development. That’s why at Sharei Hayosher Pre-school we place a special prominence on ensuring that your child’s time spent in nursery and kindergarten is enriched with a loving atmosphere that he will take with him wherever life takes him.

Needless to say, selecting the right teachers is of paramount importance to your child and that is why at Sharei Hayosher we have only the most experienced teachers who are totally committed to your child and go the extra mile to ensure that their learning experience is one that is filled with both substance and fun. Extremely important to your child is nutrition and that’s where Sharei Hayosher’s warm nutritious meals will keep your child’s palate and diet both healthy and tasty!

In conclusion, it must be noted that Sharei Hayosher’s esthetics is second to none with cheerful classrooms and an amazing backyard that is spacious and allows room for exercise.

Dear Sharei Hayosher Pre-School

As my daughter Esty’s graduation from Pre 1A passes, and I get her ready for her last day of camp, I must reflect on the past eight years that she and my other daughters, Ricky and Lydia, spent at your wonderful school. I feel sadness that when camp is over, I will not have the pleasure of having my children attending your school anymore. It was truly a home away from home for my girls.

In 2003, I enrolled my 3 1/2 year old Ricky on the advice of my neighbor, who also had wonderful experiences with your school. I was very apprehensive, but as first year with Morah Esther Deena progressed, I was overjoyed at all of the Torah values and secular education she gained. She learned the Dinim of the Jewish holidays, her Aleph–Bet, the parashah of each week, and the alphabet was only the beginning of the well rounded English curriculum. You were always available if a parent had any question or concern; no appointments necessary. The teachers were always warm and caring, and you were always open to suggestions and new ideas. By the time she graduated from Pre 1A, she was more than ready for 1st grade in Magen David, as your curriculum taught English and Hebrew reading and writing. She was already two steps ahead.

When the following school year arrived, and my next daughter Lydia was to begin school, there was not even a question of where to register her. I knew what to expect and when the time came for 1st grade, I didn’t have a worry in the world about her readiness for elementary school.

If anyone had any doubts about whether or not your school would be a good choice for their children, you can use me as a reference. If Ricky and Lydia are in the car with me when I come to pick up Esty they fight over who gets to go inside to get her because they long for the warm environment they experience for so long.

Thank you,
Vicki Esses Doueck
