Recently, Shaare Torah V’Hesed met with members of the 61st precinct to thank them for their dedication to the Sephardic Jewish community. Acting as a bridge between the Sephardic community and the police department, Shaare Torah V’Hesed works with the precinct’s community affairs office. At this meeting they presented a plaque to the commanding officer, Captain Mastrokostas, and his staff. The plaque was dedicated to the police and auxilliary officers for all they do to keep us safe at all the processions and special events throughout the year.
