“Elliot had a zest for life and his love for people impacted everyone who knew him including myself. I decided that I wanted my company to join them in their goal to find a cure for lung cancer. Hopefully we can raise a lot of money together towards lung cancer research, which has already shown progress over the past five years. We have also recently teamed up with the Mitzvah Man who is also involved in the fight against cancer among its countless acts of good deeds for our community.”
There’s no doubting the commitment and sincerity in Steven’s eyes as he discusses his desire to give back to the community that has helped his business become a success. There’s also no doubting his love for cars. When you walk into the Legend office, it’s clear that everyone there is doing what they love and doing a great job at it.
When Steven was just a teenager, he took a class with community member Ricky Cohen. “One day Ricky asked everyone what they wanted to do with their lives,” related Steven with a smile. “He told us not to worry about whether there was money-making potential, he just wanted us to follow our passions. I said that I loved cars and would love to sell them. Two years later he called me when an opportunity came up to get into the car business and I’ve been leasing cars ever since. It’s been 16 years and that passion still hasn’t worn off.”
