It all began four and a half years ago when I wanted to take my 3 year old and 6 month old daughters for a professional photo session. Because every little girl needs a beautiful bow for every occasion, I searched high and low for the perfect headbands to match their outfits. I did find some beautiful pieces, however, the prices were a bit higher than I was comfortable spending and the quality was not up to par. Being that I always loved crafts, and especially loved dolling up my girls, I decided to give bow making a try.
I never would have guessed then that my little hobby would become what it is today. Just from friends, word of mouth and social media, the business blossomed from bows into hats, headpieces, gloves, belts and so much more. All of my products are custom made to meet the specific needs of my customers and cover all categories of accessories. I love meeting and collaborating with clients to give their outfits all the finishing touches from head to toe. Itās a very special job because I am constantly surrounded by such happiness. My clients are always preparing for fun and joyous occasions, such as weddings, bar mitzvahs, brit milot, etc.
I also had the opportunity to create the hair accessories for two of the SBH āDress a Childā fashion shows. It was an honor to be a part of both charitable events. I worked for weeks, using different kinds of ribbons, crystals, rhinestones and leathers to create specific headpieces that enhanced the beauty of each and every outfit. The children looked so gorgeous in all the hats, hippie bands, bun wraps, gloves and collars. We had such a great time!
My customers give me the drive and enthusiasm to constantly deliver the latest trends and fashions. I love when clients come to me with unique ideas. For instance, someone recently brought me a brit pillow to embellish. It was one of my favorite projects. Another customer came to me complaining that she couldnāt find the perfect shoe to go with her dress. So, together we conjured up the idea of ankle jewelry that looked like it was part of her shoe! I canāt tell you how many people asked where she found those shoes.
Very often customers will bring me the simplest of dresses (sometimes even from Target!) and we make them look like a million dollars. We add belts, collars, gloves, headpieces, and itās an entirely new look.
