Councilman Greenfield Endorses Congressman McMahon

Brooklyn, NY – Today, New York City Councilman David Greenfield endorsed Congressman Michael McMahon in his re-election bid for New York’s 13th Congressional District.  The endorsement took place in front of the Sephardic Multi Service Center in Gravesend, Brooklyn.

“Congressman McMahon has an outstanding record on two of the most important international issues for his constituents: the security of the State of Israel and stopping Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon,” said

Councilman Greenfield.  “Not only is his record of legislative support for Israel flawless, he has also sponsored significant legislation imposing sanctions on Iran for its human rights abuses, support of international terror and and illegal attempts to obtain nuclear weapons.”

“I am very fortunate to have the support of Councilman Greenfield,” said Congressman McMahon.  “I have always been a strong advocate for Brooklyn families and a voice in support of Israel in the United States Congress.  I look forward to many more years of partnering with Councilman Greenfield to deliver for our community.”

Councilman Greenfield is the newest member of the City Council, having won a resounding victory in a Special Election earlier this year.  Rep. McMahon and Councilman Greenfield share portions of their respective districts in Bensonhurst and Gravesend.  The Gravesend portion is home to the largest Sephardic Jewish community in the United States.
