Brooklynâs Best Toastmasters club celebrated its 10th anniversary this past month. Founded in 2000 by Ralph Tawil, Charles Mizrahi and Ronald Tawil, the club was proud to celebrate its 10th Anniversary with two of the three founders in attendance.
The meeting was opened by Sergeant at Arms Tikvah Juni. Toastmaster Chaim Piekarski led the festivities with his usual humor and joviality. There were speeches by Jack Falack and Bracha Melzer.
After the evaluations by Mitchell Braverman and guest evaluator Isak Gelbinovitch, presentations were made by Raisa Serebrenik.
Raisa presented the Toastmasters International 10th Anniversary Certificate as well as a pin to Club President David Roffé, and special pins to founder Ronald Tawil.
The club was delighted to see several former club members at the celebration, including Paulie Wahba. Also in attendance were former club presidents Alan Kishk, Jack Kaminsky and myself.
Also being recognized were Susan Dror for completing her leadership manual and Michael Matsas for achieving his Advanced Leadership Bronze award.
The club celebrated with a champagne toast and a specially prepared cake baked by Rosa Matsas. A special thanks to club members Carole Goldstein, Bracha Melzer and Tivah Juni, who baked delicious goodies for the occasion.
