The New Ahi Ezer

Miss Salman, and Miss ChkouriCome and see the new Ahi Ezer Yeshiva. Not only is the school’s entire educational program new, their building has a new look as well. The school takes every opportunity to thank their administrator, Jesse Mizrahi, for his time and effort taking care of all the students and staff and making sure the school is running in the proper way. From redecorating, to updating the school with new, state-of-the-art Smart Boards, Ahi Ezer has truly transformed itself.

Pesach Preparations
From nursery to 8th grade, every class was packed with intense learning about Pesach. The kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade all had the privilege to go on a hands-on matzah factory tour, where every child got to watch how the matzah was made and create their own matzah.

The school also had a wonderful model Seder, where children from each grade went through all the simaneh ha’seder (10 steps of the Seder), and every girl was taught the proper Sephardic minhagim (customs). The nursery teachers, Morah Jenny and Morah Germaine, put together a beautiful haggadah with pictures that made it possible for even the youngest children to enjoy the seder.

Saturday Night Fever
Ahi Ezer’s Saturday night program is a hit. This fabulous program is organized by the school’s amazing Syrian teachers, L. Chkouri, F. Salamon, and J. Kassin. Seventh and eighth graders from Ahi Ezer and other schools such as, MDY, Barki Yeshivah, Benot Rachel, and Shaare Torah enjoy love it. The night’s schedule is packed with unlimited fun. Children play games, have great activities, and eat pizza, ice cream, pop-corn, and cotton candy.

Recently, Ahi Ezer hired a professional DJ, Av Yarimi, who rocked the night and gave the visiting girls an awesome time they will never forget. The girls didn’t want the night to come to an end.

Royal Reading
Ahi Ezer is proud to present their latest program, a read-a-thon. This is a school wide reading program where girls are encouraged to read books. Each class is a team trying to read the most books. The winning class will receive an amazing prize—a class trip.

Congratulations to our administrative assistant, Sarit Rudy (Zafrani), on her wedding.
