Purim is the holiday that is most appealing to children from a fun perspective and still allows both parents and educators to convey traditions and the meaning of this holy and special day to the children on their level. That is exactly what Sharei Hayosher does yearly as the month of Adar approaches.
Teachers begin by explaining the significance of this defining chapter in our history as a people when the Jews of ancient Persia were threatened by annihilation and how G-d performed miracles that brought salvation as we know through the lessons of Megillat Esther that has kept our people alive throughout the ages.
Indeed, a special Purim play was performed by the students of Sharei Hayosher that captivated the parents as they portrayed the story and the lessons of Purim. It was an exciting scene to see parents derive nachat (happiness and satisfaction) from their sons and daughters in the presence of their teachers who put so much effort into their yearly production.
Said one parent, “I cried tears of joy to see my son perform. He brought the story of Purim so alive and I felt like he felt like part of the story. Thank you Sharei Hayosher for bringing this holiday so meaningfully to our family”
This is all part of the Sharei Hayoher curriculum where every child receives individualized attention and is treated like an only child.
