With much passion and excitement, Magen David Yeshivah recently welcomed the 7th grade girls from other yeshivot for an inspirational morning filled with ahdut (peace) and unity. The morning was filled with much anticipation before the girls happily embraced the opportunity to get to know each other.
The program started with the girls reciting Tehillim with Mrs. Nitzy Levy. Levy then introduced Magen David Yeshivah Principal Rabbi Baruch Hilsenrath who said, “So many young ladies from so many schools—we’re celebrating our differences, yet uniting as one soul.”
The girls welcomed Danielle Wahba, a case manager from Sephardic Bikur Holim. She praised them for their hard work in raising tzedeka for Bikur Holim. Danielle explained the importance of getting involved in the many different programs SBH has to offer.
Each school performed dance routines, encompassing the girls’ unity and solidarity. Each dance reflected the joy and exuberance of the students. The morning culminated with the girls joining for a festive lunch.
The get together could not have been possible without the help of Nitzy Levy and Ora Delbery. Thanks go to all the schools that participated: Yeshivah of Flatbush, Barkai Yeshivah, JFSS of Staten Island, Rabbi Arthur Schneier Park East Day School, MDS, Bnos Malka Academy of Queens, and YCQ.
