The serenity and peaceful nature of the summertime gives us all a chance to take a step back and relax for a few months. With that in mind, Magen David Yeshivah’s PTA has coordinated efficacious and productive summer events that are uplifting and enjoyable at all levels.
As we look forward to the summer, we look back on a successful school year, which benefited our children tremendously. Thanks to dedicated committee members, each event became memorable. So many events catered to the children on all age levels.
On several Sundays throughout the year, “Once Upon a Time” story time encouraged reading to our little ones in the calm and relaxing atmosphere of our school library. Most memorable was pajama night, where even dads came in their PJs and read to children! Grades 2-5 had a blast with our weekly Bingo nights, while the older grades enjoyed a sensational student-teacher tournament. In addition, the annual Hanukah Carnival treated the children to a well-deserved day off to enjoy carnival rides, arts and crafts, mosaic making, laser tag, a mad scientist show, face painting, and other highlights that excited the children all day. While on May 12th, Lag Ba’Omer was a beautiful spring day. With plenty of activities planned for every age level, the day was a huge success!
But as the school year winds down, there will be plenty of activities to enjoy this coming summer, to build on bonds built during the school year. Even though school is finished, there are many ways to socialize over the summer months. Listed is our summer schedule:

Father/Son Baseball for boys in 1st through 4th grade.
