Community Leaders Suggest Strategies for Success At Hillel Yeshiva
Over 500 students, parents, faculty and community members listened intently as four charismatic and astute businessmen from the community presented Strategies for Success in the New Global Economy. Hosted by Hillel Yeshiva, the panel addressed the following questions: Where are the new opportunities in business? How can we benefit from them? What areas are growing the fastest? How do choices our children make today, determine their future success? Does higher education influence our childrens path to success?
Magen David Yeshivah High School recently launched their Sephardic Heritage Program by gathering the entire student body and staff together to view the documentary film produced by our communitys own Mr. Joseph Sitt. Three thousand community members had the opportunity to attend the premiere of the inaugural film last year at Lincoln Center and since then thousands more have seen it at several other venues.
Although there is a wide array of diverse scholarship and literature on the Torah, Rabbi Moshe Shamah has brought to both scholars and laymen an enlightening new perspective with his book, Recalling the Covenant, A Contemporary Commentary on the Five Books of the Torah. He has synthesized the works of both traditional and modern scholars to produce a compelling commentary on the straightforward meaning of this supremely important text.
The long awaited Madison Sephardic Mikveh on Avenue R recently opened their doors to the women of the Madison community. The new mikveh is open seven evenings a week. With its serene atmosphere and spa-like feel, it is a lovely and needed addition to our community.

What began as a vision became a reality as six of our community schools united and participated in the Cupcake Wars.
