This year, the bake sale was held at the lovely home of Raymond and Rachel Mouhadeb. It began with an evening reception. Decorated in a lovely array of soothing hues, the relaxing ambiance served as a lovely backdrop to the evening. The night provided a wonderful opportunity for the guests to socialize. A delicious gourmet dinner by Adam Dweck was elegantly displayed and more than 50 people participated in the backgammon tournament, which Brian Kraiem won.
The evening was warm and elegant. The evidence of the hard work of all involved was clear in every detail. It reminded me how dedicated and caring the Shaare Shalom family is. The warmth that is our hallmark filled the house, said Rabbi Joseph Dweck.
The next day began with an adorable mommy and me class given by Rita Shrem. An inspirational class was given by Rabbi Joseph Dweck; Vicki Harari spoke about having a positive self-image and decorators Amy Aini and Stacy Ayash offered insightful decorating suggestions.
One community member said, Congregation Shaare Shalom has been a second home to our family. During the 13 years I have been living in the neighborhood, I have watched the shul grow and I look forward to attending future events for many years to come.
With such a wonderful turnout, Congregation Shaare Shalom would like to thank their generous sponsors and the wonderful committee that organized the bake sale. Thank you to Hadas Lindner, Sharon Mann, Diana Manopla, Nicole Oved, Casey Rothschild, Deborah Shiloach, Natalie Suede, Rozie Torgueman, and to all the volunteers. Thank you to Mark Greenberg for providing the pictures. We look forward to the next event.
