Imagine Academy’s 2nd Annual Art Exhibition

Imagine Academy’s students recently exhibited their artwork at the Taglialatella Galleries on Tenth Avenue in Manhattan.  This amazing event was hosted and sponsored by Bear Givers, an organization dedicated to helping children with special needs. Joseph Sprung, Chairman and Founder and Diane Lampert, President of Bear Givers made this event possible.

Guests entered the gallery and saw the Imagine student’s artwork hanging right next to prominent professional artists. The students, families and staff walked around the gallery, were treated to fine wine, delicious hors d’oeuvres and beautiful artwork. It was just so wonderful for everyone to enjoy each other’s company away from the school and the serious work atmosphere. We felt relaxed, lived in the moment and appreciated the beauty of the pieces and the fun of being in an art gallery in the heart of Manhattan.

The students were so excited to share their artwork with their teachers and family members. One parent said, “I am so proud to see my son’s artwork here and so many people have asked to buy it!” One piece in particular drew attention due to the fact that it was created by a group of students who worked collectively to create it. It was absolutely stunning, everyone wanted it, however; as in the world of fine art, it went to the highest bidder. The next day 10 requests for similar pieces were called in to the school. Our students are working hard to fill their orders!

Imagine Academy is dedicated to helping students with developmental delays reach their greatest potential! We are grateful to all the wonderful supporters who came out to make this a fabulous night.  This event was made possible by the Bear Givers Organization, may their continued support to children in need be an inspiration to all of us to give.
